1. Who we are
This service is operated by KleanKitchen ("KleanKitchen", "we", "us"). KleanKitchen is the data controller for the personal data described in this notice.
2. Personal data we collect
- Account data: name, email address, password (hashed), and authentication identifiers.
- Profile data: display name, avatar, allergens, dietary preferences.
- Recipe and activity data: recipes you submit, save, rate, comment on, follow, or add to meal plans and collections.
- Support communications: messages you send us.
- Usage and device data: log data, IP address, browser/device identifiers, and basic telemetry used for security and product improvement.
- Cookies: essential cookies for authentication and session management.
Payment card details are not collected or stored by KleanKitchen. Payments are handled by our Merchant of Record, Paddle (see Section 5).
3. Why we use your data and our legal basis
- Provide the service (account creation, saving recipes, meal planning, AI features) — performance of a contract.
- Security and fraud prevention — legitimate interests.
- Customer support — performance of a contract / legitimate interests.
- Product improvement and analytics — legitimate interests.
- Marketing communications (if any) — consent, which you may withdraw at any time.
- Legal compliance — compliance with legal obligations.
4. Sharing your data
We share personal data with the following categories of recipients:
- Service providers and subprocessors who host the service, provide AI infrastructure, analytics, and customer support tooling.
- Paddle.com Market Limited, our Merchant of Record, for the sale of subscriptions, payment processing, subscription management, tax compliance, refunds, and invoicing.
- Professional advisers (legal, accounting) where necessary.
- Authorities when required by law or to protect our rights.
5. Paddle as Merchant of Record
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle is the Merchant of Record for all our orders and handles payments, billing, sales tax, refunds, and related customer service inquiries. 6. Data retention
We retain personal data only for as long as needed to provide the service and for legitimate business or legal purposes. Account and profile data are kept while your account is active and deleted or anonymised within a reasonable period after account deletion, except where retention is required by law.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your personal data, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent. 8. International transfers
Where personal data is transferred outside your country, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions.
9. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures — including encryption in transit, access controls, and authentication — to protect your personal data.

We use essential cookies necessary to keep you signed in and to run the service. We do not currently use third-party advertising cookies.
